And the wait is over! Our family wants to thank everyone who has been supporting us along this journey…We are happy to say this journey is not over yet!
Recap…
On December 9th, the embryo was successfully transferred to Moni’s belly. Moni continued taking estradiol and progesterone injection.
There was a lot of cramping going on and small bleeding that got us worried so much about the embryo. All we could do was to stay positive. We found out that the bleeding was most likely caused by some of the medicines, and that was a normal side-effect.
The miracle phone call…📞
We went to our fertility clinic on December 20th for blood work. We were good and patient enough for not doing our own pregnancy test at home 😂. Although we were tempted to use our pregnancy test kit so many times. We came back home and waited for the result.
It was a typical day at home. Moni started working and was in a meeting when her phone rang and noticed it was from the fertility clinic. Moni ran to the stairs and called Michael to hear the result together. Of course, Mona Vie was at school.
We picked up the phone. One of the nurses was in the line and waited patiently for us to be ready for the result…
“Congratulations! You are VERY pregnant!” She said!
The world just stopped right there. We paused and took a deep breath before we said anything. The nurse who was on the phone had to ask if we were still there. Up to that point and all the things leading up to this day, we remained neutral and tried not get our hopes up. We were very happy 😍

Moni continued to take her medicines and have nightly injections. There was a worry that she would have to do the injections by herself while on some work trips, but fortunately those trips were cancelled:) Moni stopped taking estrodiol and progesterone injection on week 10 of pregnancy. Yay!
Cramping and nausea begin to get worse. But, as the doctor said, the worse Moni feels, we know the baby is feeling and growing well.
Now we have transferred to our OBGYN for monthly visits and sonograms.
Tentative due date is August 27, 2022
We’ve seen and heard the little heartbeat❤️❤️❤️ Mona Vie had a chance to see her little sibling at doctor’s office, too! It was so special to see that she can now relate to what we have been telling her ❤️

Family of 4…
It sounds crazy to say that we are becoming a family of 4. I know the gender and we have a name for the baby already!
We are expecting a baby boy 👶 His name starts with the letter M just like his parents and his big sister. Can you guess what it is? Not Michael😆
We can’t wait to meet our little one!
Thanks so much for supporting us! We will continue to update Moni’s pregnancy and our family’s journey as we are growing 👨👩👧👦
